What’s New in BusyBusy 2026.5

We’ve got a new release, and it’s packed full of updates designed to help you stay organized, improve accountability, and get more visibility into what’s happening across your jobs.

BusyBusy 2026.5 includes a highly requested clock-in enhancement, new labor reporting tools, additional GPS permission controls, and several improvements to Equipment Inspections, Certifications, and Resource Planning.

Let’s take a quick look.

Require Descriptions at Clock Out

One of our most requested enhancements is finally here.

Companies now have the option to require employees to enter a Description when clocking out. If your team uses descriptions to track tasks, locations, work performed, or other important details, you can now ensure that information is captured every time someone goes to clock out with these descriptions tied directly to their Time Entry.

Required DescriptionOperations Module Improvements

We’re continuing to invest in the Operations Module with updates to Equipment Inspections, Certifications, and Resource Planning.

Equipment Inspections

Equipment Inspection users will now see a new dashboard card that provides quick visibility into inspection activity. We’ve also added direct navigation to inspection reports from equipment pages, making it faster to review inspection history for a specific asset.

Equipment Inspection Reports now include additional equipment details like Type, Make, Model, and Category, giving you more context when reviewing or exporting reports.

Certifications

Managing certifications is now easier with new sorting capabilities. Quickly organize records, share information, and support compliance reporting when needed.

Resource Planning

Resource Planning schedules can now be exported as PDFs, making it easier to share plans with field crews, supervisors, and project stakeholders.

New Equipment GPS Permission

For customers using BusyBusy GPS Hardware, we’ve added a new View Equipment GPS Location permission.

This gives administrators more control over who can view equipment location data while ensuring equipment managers retain access to the information they need. The permission controls access to both current and historical equipment locations and is disabled by default.
