California Breaks Scanner: Stay Ahead of Compliance Risk
California break laws are some of the strictest in the country — and the risk of lawsuits under PAGA has never been higher. That’s why we created the California Breaks Scanner, a powerful new tool that gives you visibility into break issues before payroll runs.
The Breaks Scanner:
Reviews time entries to catch missing breaks, breaks too short, or taken outside required time windows
Flags entries where employees indicated they didn’t take breaks in the Daily Sign Off
Helps you resolve break issues early and stay audit-ready
When paired with features like Daily Sign Off and Minimum Break Duration, the Breaks Scanner helps you build a strong, defensible record of compliance — without extra admin work.
Automatic Breaks: Simplify and Standardize Break Tracking
Automatic Breaks lets you configure break rules by employee position — so you can stop chasing missed breaks and start logging them automatically.
With this feature, you can:
Choose whether breaks occur after a set number of hours worked or at scheduled times of day
Automatically record the break on the employee’s timecard
Send employees a notification when it’s time to take a break
This feature is especially helpful for teams with consistent schedules who want accurate, hands-off break tracking.
🛈 Note: Always review your local break laws before enabling Automatic Breaks to ensure it fits your compliance needs.
AI Field Report Summarization: Get to the Good Stuff, Fast
Field Reports contain valuable insights — but reading through all of them can take time. That’s where our new AI Summarization feature comes in.
With just a few clicks, you can:
Summarize up to 7 Field Reports at once
Select the sections you want to include (like Safety, Equipment, or Employee Progress)
Add custom instructions to tailor the output to your needs
The result? A clear, concise summary that helps you spot issues and highlights fast — without digging through reports.
Grid Entry Now Supports Multiple Equipment Add-ons
Over the past few releases, we’ve expanded support for tracking multiple pieces of equipment per employee. We started with Clock-In workflows, then added Kiosk mode — and now, we’ve added full support for Grid Entry (End of Day) time tracking.
Now you can:
Assign multiple equipment add-ons when logging time via Grid Entry
Track complex equipment use across all time entry methods
Ensure consistency, whether your team uses mobile, kiosk, or desktop workflows
Equipment Add-on Limit Increased to 20
You asked — we delivered.
With this release, we’ve raised the equipment add-on limit from 10 to 20, giving your teams even more flexibility when tracking multiple machines per shift.
It’s a small change with big impact for larger crews and projects.
