How To Report a Safety Observation in busybusy
We know your teams are constantly on the go, so we made our observation feature as intuitive and fast as possible. To submit a safety observation, employees only need to follow four simple steps:
- Choose the type of observation – Is it a concern, or is it a positive observation?
- Report anonymously (optional) – To encourage honest feedback and ensure employees feel safe, they can choose to submit their observation anonymously.
- Assign it to a project – If the employee is clocked into a project, it will automatically populate. No need to waste time with extra clicks.
- Record the observation – Employees can type or use voice-to-text for quick input, making it easier than ever to capture important details.
Additional Features for Detailed Reporting
Before submitting, employees have a few extra options to enhance their observation reports:
- Attach photos – Tap the camera icon to include photos, adding valuable context for follow-up actions.
- Immediate actions taken – There’s a section to note any quick fixes or steps that were already taken to address the concern.
- Add a GPS pin – Employees can mark the location of the observation using a GPS pin, ensuring that job site managers know exactly where the issue occurred.
End-of-Day Safety Reminder
Sometimes, employees notice a safety issue during the day but don’t have time to report it right away. To address this, busybusy includes a safety observation reminder at the end of the day during their daily sign-off. This feature can easily be turned on by supervisors, prompting employees to submit any observations they might have forgotten.
Processing Observations Made Simple
Once an observation is submitted, those with permission to manage safety reports receive an instant notification. Managers can then process the observation directly from their phone or from the web.
